charge of the section in which the house was and the Inspec-

tors in charge of the Detective Staff must know of the

house. They should have known of it if any one did.

were no complaints about the Wa Lane and Cheung Hing Street

houses till the Captain Supt. of Police raided No.8 East

Street.

asked him if my name was on it. He said he did not know but

he did not think so.

I wish to say that I regret very much what

I said about the Captain Supt. of Police in the Supreme Court.
